We enjoy baking during the holidays and wanted to share a ginger biscuit recipe that’s easy to make. It’s perfect for using with our engraved rolling pins, and the biscuits hold the patterns nicely.
Ginger Biscuits Recipe
Ingredientai:
• 350 g (2 ¾ cups) flour
• 160 g (¾ cup) brown sugar
• 120 g (½ cup) cold butter
• 30 g (2 tablespoons) molasses
• 2 egg yolks
• 1 teaspoon ground ginger
• ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
2. In a bowl, mix the flour, ground ginger, brown sugar, and salt.
3. Add the cold butter, cut into small pieces, and mix until the mixture looks like crumbs.
4. Add the egg yolks and molasses, mixing until the dough comes together.
5. Place the dough between two sheets of baking paper and roll it out to about 5 mm (¼ inch) thick.
6. Chill the dough in the fridge for 30 minutes.
7. After chilling, lightly dust the dough with flour and roll over it with your favorite engraved rolling pin.
8. Cut out the biscuits with a cookie cutter.
9. Place the biscuits on a lined baking tray and chill again for 15 minutes.
10. Bake for 7–9 minutes, then let them cool.
We hope you enjoy making these ginger biscuits. They’re fun to bake and even better to share with family and friends! 🙂
Happy baking,
